African music has always had its place at the top of the global music industry. These days, with tech switching up the scene and genres blending, everyone keep bringing their A game especially these six female African artistes.聽
1. Ria Sean聽
I first heard mid 2021. The flow, the lyrics and the sound were so tight I replayed it for months until her EP, Fluid dropped. My favorite thing about her brand is that it鈥檚 deliberately sexy and that鈥檚 refreshing in a society where women aren鈥檛 allowed to bask in their aura.聽聽

2. Fave聽
Fave has been dropping singles that have been topping charts since 2019. Beautifully and Baby Riddim make you want to fall deep in love and with her latest EP Riddim 5, it鈥檚 clear she鈥檚 here to stay.聽聽

3. Sgawd聽
No one is doing it like Sgawd. Leading the music girlies in the rap industry with her sultry yet assertive flow. Her EP, does exactly what the name implies and makes you feel like a sexy ass bad bitch.聽

4. Gyakie聽
Gyakie snatched our hearts with her song, , teaching us all how to be attentive lovers. Her sound is soft and sweet like she is. If you have a sneaky link booked for the weekend, here鈥檚 a tip for you: add Gyakie鈥檚 Need Me to your playlist and thank me later.聽

5. Solis聽
Solis鈥 voice is like a dream. If you鈥檙e looking for Nigerian music you can comfortably cuddle to without raising your eyebrows at problematic lyrics, listen to Solis. She makes music for bad bitches who cry soon as the lights go off. Her sound is something special and we should all pay attention.聽

6. Amaarae聽
At this point, Amaarae needs no introduction. Sis has been consistently dropping hits since 2017 but her album, The Angel You Don鈥檛 Know changed the game. One thing that stands out about her music is that it鈥檚 inclusive. Everyone listening has an equal chance of feeling like they sang the song.聽
